Ship’s Class review 2018
Between 4th of June till 20th of July 2018 POGORIA underwent the well-deserved class review and maintenance in REMONTOWA Ship-repair Yard in Gdańsk.
The range of work included:
- Exchange of hull, deck and superstructures steel sheets;
- New portholes (bull’s-eye windows) in the superstructures;
- Repairs of the grey and black water tanks;
- New anchor’s chain (108 m) and anchors renovations;
- Necessary maintenance of anchor winch;
- Yards and masts renovation and painting;
- Exchange of some of the steel rigging;
- Deck’s maintenance;
- New aluminium davits and wooden blocks;
- New foredeck hatches;
- New bathrooms and toilets;
- Renovation of the interior in crew’s quarters;
- Maintenance and service of the main engine – pumps, steering, heads, coolers and radiators;
- Maintenance and service of generators;
- Renovation of the engine’s transmission;
- New fire and bilge pump (DESMI) plus installation;
- Valves and latches’ maintenance;
- Cold room and freezer installations’ maintenance;
- New water and sewers piping;
- New washing machines and refrigerators;
- Renovation and repairs of the ventilations’ systems;
- Maintenance of the steering pumps;
- New upholstery in the mess-hall;
- New blankets and mattresses;
- New EPIRB and SART;
- GMDSS equipment maintenance and repairs;
- Navigational equipment’s maintenance;
- Necessary RIB’s maintenance;
The above-mentioned scope of works was finished on 20th of July 2018 with the new Yacht Safety and Class Certificates. Next “class” in 2023.
